Archaeologist finds oldest rock art in Australia
Mon Jun 18, 2012
I'm assuming there's more to the "artwork" than just the picture provided with the article? If the only piece they have is what's pictured, I'd have a difficult time accepting it with a statement that it's "art" from that far back. It could be nothing more than someone scratching on the wall out of …
Border Patrol agents accused of sex act during Cirque du Soleil performance
Tue Jun 12, 2012
Here's what I don't understand... One of the off-duty agents physically assaulted another person yet was only cited for "misdemeanor battery"? Why weren't they charge with felony assault? Either something's missing from the report about what really happened, or there was some leniency granted to th …
Verizon to ditch phone plans, go with shared plans
Tue Jun 12, 2012
This won't save me money... Based on this information, I'll actually have to pay more to keep the level of "service" I already have. Looks like the cell carriers have found yet another way to gouge their customers all the while promising that it will save their customers money. Total complete BS.
Shaky battery maker claims a breakthrough

"'When Mitt Romney is president, government will stop meddling in the marketplace,' a Romney spokeswoman, Andrea Saul, said on the campaign’s Web site." Really? Does that include all the various "black" and other R&D programs being conducted throughout DoD? Guess what... the majority o …

Massachusetts town approves $20 fine for swearing in public
Tue Jun 12, 2012
Guess what... According to the Supreme Court, it IS protected "free speech". Just like flipping off a police officer is protected speech.

Televangelist Creflo Dollar arrested in alleged choking attack on daughter
Fri Jun 8, 2012
Well, I'm well qualified as the father of not one, but THREE daughters who went through those rebellious teenage years. And I'm sorry, but your job as a PARENT is to CONTROL your emotions when dealing with your kids.
CDC: Nearly 60 percent of teens text while driving
Thu Jun 7, 2012
I guarantee you that here, in the metro DC area, "nearly 60%" is a gross underestimate of the actual number. And it's the teen's parents around here that are even more to blame.
Are more women buying rope because of 'Fifty Shades'?
Thu Jun 7, 2012
Be careful... if the zealots who are running for office now days get ahold of this, they'll ban the sale of rope unless you can quote three bible versus where rope is used for non-perverted purposes...
